The Full Story

Due to Government Health social distancing requirements for COVID-19, unfortunately BYO meals will NOT be permitted during the 2021 season.

Members can however bring drinks on a BYO everything basis.

At this stage, the Gundaroo Hall Committee still plans to host a meal before the November film screening. See below for more detail.

Although there will be no “takeaway” nights where you can bring your own takeaway food along to the hall for 2021, the Gundaroo Film Society still encourages members and guests to support the local food outlets in a COVID-safe way before screen time.

Contact details for Gundaroo’s local food outlets are shown below.

Cork Street Café – (02) 6236 8217 (Click here). This is a popular favourite with locals for great pizzas, salads, focaccias and yummy cakes. Allow plenty of time before film screening.

Gundaroo Grocer, Cellar and TakeAway  – (02) 6236 8141

Gundaroo Wine Bar – (02) 6236 8155

Rolling Hills Kitchen at Gundaroo Colonial Inn – (02) 6236 8060 (Click here). The menu features pub classics as well as some signature home cooked dishes served with country heart. TakeAway available.

Meal/Movie dinner night – at one screening per year a catered meal is provided by the Gundaroo Hall Committee in conjunction with the Gundaroo Film Society. All proceeds of the night go to the Hall. Drinks are BYO. In 2021 our last film of the year on Sat 20 November is Soul Kitchen. Meal tickets are priced at $35.00 per head for a two-course meal. These nights are a major fund-raiser to help with the upkeep of the Gundaroo Soldier's Memorial Hall.

Further information regarding the menu will be provided closer to the event.
