Meals During the Film Season

The Full Story

Meals can be consumed at the Hall during the film season.

Tables will be setup for use by members during the screenings.

Members and guests can bring food and drinks to the movie on a BYO everything basis.

The Gundaroo Hall Committee will host 2 fund-raising meals before the film screenings in April and November this year. See below for more details.

BYO TAKEAWAY NIGHTS

As mentioned above you can bring your own home-cooked or takeaway food, drinks, glasses and utensils along to the Hall to consume before screen time.

The Gundaroo Film Society encourages members and guests to support the local food outlets to source their takeaway food.

Please do not share food, drinks or utensils with anyone outside your immediate group and ensure that all food, utensils and waste is taken home with you.

Contact details for Gundaroo’s local food outlets are shown below.

Cork Street Gallery Café – 24 Cork Street – (02) 6236 8217 (Click here).

This is a popular favourite with locals for great pizzas, salads, focaccias and yummy cakes.

Allow plenty of time before film screening.

Gundaroo Inn – Loose Goat Bistro – 23 Cork Street – (02) 6236 8155 (Click here).

The ‘village pub’ and family restaurant. Family-friendly atmosphere.

GUNDAROO HALL MEAL & MOVIE NIGHTS

Please note that 2 fund-raising dinners will be held before the April and November movies this year.

The cost of the two-course meal is usually $35-$40 per person but this will be confirmed before each Meal and Movie night. Menu details will be advertised closer to each event.

Bookings by email to Colin (here) and pre-payment (details here) is required to cover out-of-pocket expenses.

The meals at these events are optional but are a great social event. You can still bring a BYO meal if you wish or just come along for the movie later.  These meal & movie nights have been suggested by some members, are popular, and are necessary to cover the costs of maintenance and operation of the Hall, particularly following two years of disruptions due to COVID-19.
