The Full Story

The society plans a program of films for each year with screenings once a month on a Saturday night.

All of our movie nights, with the exception of November allow you to enjoy a BYO meal with your film.

Meals can be sourced from Gundaroo’s fine takeaway food establishments .

All other film nights are “takeaway” nights where you can bring your own takeaway food and drinks along to the hall.

The Gundaroo Film Society promotes all of Gundaroo’s local takeaway food outlets :

Gundaroo Grocer, Cellar and TakeAway  – (02) 6236 8141

Cork Street Café  (Click here) – (02) 6236 8217. This is a popular favourite with locals for great pizzas, salads, focaccias and yummy cakes. Pre-order meals anytime during the day but allow at least 40 mins before film screening.

Gundaroo Wine Bar (02) 6236 8155

Crowes Restaurant (02) 6236 8060

Meal/Movie dinner night – one screening per annum is catered for by the Gundaroo Hall committee in conjunction with the Gundaroo Film Society and all proceeds of the night go to the Hall.  In 2019 our last film of the year on Sat 23rd November is the screening of the film “Mostly Martha”. Meal tickets are priced at $35.00 a head for a two-course meal. These nights are a major fund raiser to help with the upkeep of the Community Hall.
